Hotel Montemare - Positano

We enjoyed beautiful views, explored the local culture, and visited the famous beach. The staff were friendly, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Just a heads-up, the stairs can be tough for some. Highly recommend it!

The only downside was the wifi cutting out. It was a bit annoying when trying to share our experiences online.

The employees are amazingly attentive and caring.

The hotel is located in a great spot, close to the beach and within walking distance to shops and the town center. One reviewer mentioned that the hotel is positioned in the best possible sight with stunning views. Another reviewer mentioned having a room with a hot tub overlooking the Positano coast and a large patio. The staff was friendly and helpful, making reservations for a boat tour and assisting with parking.

The spa offered a fantastic signature massage and a refreshing hot tub experience, exactly what I needed to unwind. The only minor downside was the long stair climb to reach the hotel, but honestly, the views made it all worthwhile 😍

I really enjoyed this hotel, because it was really beautiful and was well situated, the restuarant was truly almost over the sea with breathtaking views over the sea, I would recommend this hotel to young or mature people. The hotel is ideally situated overlooking the ocean with spectacular views. There is a very good restaurant attached to the hotel which similarly has spectacular views.

WiFi limited to one user per room at any given time.

The hotel is perfectly situated with amazing views. We enjoyed a daily signature massage and relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the coast!

The staff was accommodating and ensured that all my business needs were met. I appreciated the spacious room with a lovely sea view with a refreshing atmosphere after long workdays. The breakfast was good, with fresh pastries and custom-made eggs, perfect for a productive start to the day.

WiFi connection was inconsistent.

We were very nicely welcomed to the hotel by Gianluca. Beautiful and convenient location, ocean views wonderful, the staff was very pleasant and very helpful / service oriented, excellent breakfast with stunning views of the Mediterranean, good selection of protein and wonderful sweet cakes, parking available directly on site - very very important in Positano! We lost our camera - and the staff found it!! Relaxing! I would definitely go back there again. The parrot's name is "Capitano".

As much as we thought our Hotel is great, to our surprise we had tons of ants running around in our room, also in our bed. After we complained we got another room but also there we hat ants and the balcony. We stayed one night, because it was too late to change Hotel. Next day we complained again that this is not what we expected. Not having another room for us, we checked aorund for other Hotel and found the Hotel California. Coming back to the Hotel Montemare they showed there real face. They would`t let us change the Hotel without paying for one additional night...on top of it they gave us 10 minutes to pack our belongings... The Hotel California made up for all the inconvinience we had at Hotel Montemare. Montemare never again. Great thanks to everybody from the Hotel California, they know what hospitality means.

Good location, excellent view from balcony, very good restaurant with an excellent view and good food and service

Bed was too low and could have been more comfortable.
